Adam Ford - Director and archaeologist.
With
almost 20 years experience as a professional archaeologist Adam's areas of
expertise include Indigenous, historic and maritime archaeology and cultural
heritage management. Adam has
worked extensively in NSW and Victoria as a consultant and as archaeological
advisor to the State government; NSW Roads and Traffic Authority, NSW
Department of Public Works and Services, and local government as the City
Archaeologist for the City of Sydney.
Adam has conducted excavations in the UK, Caribbean,
Middle East as well as Victoria, New South Wales, Northern Territory and
Western Australia. He has been
involved with the design and implementation of large scale surveys and
excavations.
Adam is passionate about getting the public and their history together and reckons archaeology is a great way of connecting people with their roots.
Sarah Collins - Archaeologist. Sarah has over 7 years professional
experience as an archaeological consultant with particular expertise in
Indigenous cultural heritage management.
Sarah as conducted extensive research and survey programs in Victoria
and was senior archaeological officer for Aboriginal Affairs Victoria, the state
body responsible for administering the Victorian Aboriginal Heritage Act.
Sarah joined DIG in October 2008.
She has recently completed a dozen complex cultural heritage management
plans that have been described as innovative and standard setting.
Jon Sterenberg - Archaeologist and Surveyor. With over 24 years of professional
experience Jon brings a very high level of skill and competence to DIG. Jon has conducted large scale and
complex archaeological projects all over the world. Before settling in Australia 4 years ago Jon directed the
archaeological operations of the International Commission for Missing Persons
in the Former Yugoslavia, Iraq and Sierra Leone. Jon is expert in archaeological surveying and GIS. Jon has extensive logistical and
project management skills and has successfully completed projects under the
harshest conditions.
